Win for Emma Meesseman and Kim Mestdagh in Euroleague, Kangaroos Mechelen lose in EuroCup

In the Euroleague Women there was a win for Emma Meesseman and Kim Mestdagh. In the EuroCup Women, Kangaroos Mechelen lost in Valencia, Spain.

Emma Meesseman led Ekaterinburg in the Hungarian KSZ Szeksard to a 67-82 victory with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. For the Russian team in group A, this is the fifth consecutive victory in the Euroleague. Kim Mestdagh was also allowed to cheer in the Euroleague. In group B, Mestdagh (6 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist) won against the Italian Schio 64-60 against the Turkish Fenerbache Istanbul. Schio counts 2 out of 5.

In the EuroCup Women, Kangaroos Mechelen suffered a 67-42 defeat in Valencia, Spain, after a 29-31 bonus halfway through. Laure Resimont scored 14 points, Serbian Ivana Katanic for 10 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists and Becky Massey for 12 rebounds. Billie Massey didn’t play. The Maneblussers count 1 on 4 in group I. Since the top-2 has been placed, the team of coach Arvid Diels still has a chance of qualifying. A win in the home match against the Spanish Ensino and/or on the final match day in Namur Capitale is then up for grabs.
