The team of coach James Wade won the decisive 80-74 victory in their own stadium on Sunday in front of more than ten thousand spectators. Chicago Sky’s 27-year-old Kahleah Copper was voted the Finals’ Most Valuable Player.

Chicago Sky succeeds Seattle Storm on the honor roll. Belgian Cats Emma Meesseman (MVP of the Finals 2019) and Kim Mestdagh captured the title in 2019 with Washington Mystics. This summer, no Belgians participated in the WNBA because of the European Championship in June and subsequently the Games in Tokyo.
