On matchday 28 in La Liga, Real Madrid recorded an easy win against Celta Vigo. The Royal won 4-0 in the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. Turkish top talent Arde Güler scored his very first goal for Los Blancos.

However, Real had had an eventful week: during the previous matchday, Jude Bellingham seemed to head the fourteen-time Champions League winner to a 2-3 win against Valencia, but the referee whistled the match incomprehensibly. The English superstar was furious afterwards, was given a red card and was suspended for two games for his swearing tirade. Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti was also charged with tax fraud and things only just ended well in the eighth finals of the Champions League against Loïs Openda's RB Leipzig.

Against Celta Vigo, Los Blancos had to make do without their star player, but that turned out not to be a problem. After 21 minutes, Antonio Rüdiger headed a corner hard at goalkeeper Guaita, but Vinicius Junior followed well to push the opening goal into the net. The Spanish keeper played a strong game, but made two mistakes in the final phase. Rüdiger was once again quick to put the ball against a corner. The ball hit the underside of the crossbar, but still went into the goal via Guaita's back.

The Spanish goalkeeper was clearly in awe and barely two minutes later, he was hit by a cross from the left wing, causing defender Carlos Dominguez to get the ball in the body and roll it into the Celta goal. In injury time it was time for Güler to show himself. The 19-year-old Turk, who came from Fenerbahçe for twenty million euros in the summer, but only made five appearances for the Royals due to injuries, Vini Jr. replaced and did so with verve. The attacking midfielder was put in front of Guaita by Dani Ceballos, rounded the visiting goalkeeper and finished cleanly: 4-0.
