Besiktas is struggling with many injuries in the run-up to Tuesday’s game with Ajax in the Champions League. The champion of Turkey reports that Rachid Ghezzal and Welington Souza both suffered a hamstring injury this week in the competition match with Adana Demirspor (3-3).
The duo will not be available against Altay on Friday and the away match against Ajax also seems to come too early. Michy Batshuayi, Alex Teixeira, Domagoj Vida, Georges-Kévin Nkoudou, Necip Uysal and Mehmet Topal are also injured.
How is Besiktas running?
Besiktas has had a bad start to the Champions League. The club lost the first group match to Borussia Dortmund (1-2). Ajax celebrated a big win at Sporting Portugal (1-5) last week. Besiktas has started well in the Turkish league and is at the top of it.
