From bad to worse: Juventus cannot win top match against AC Milan and ends up in relegation zone

Van kwaad naar erger: Juventus kan ook topper tegen AC Milan niet winnen en verzeilt in degradatiezone

It continues to cry with the cap on for Juventus. De Oude Dame had to play in the top match against AC Milan on Sunday evening and for a long time seemed on the way to a first season win in the Serie A, until Ante Rebic decided otherwise in the final quarter. It became 1-1, which gives Juventus a second point. Due to the victories of Spezia and Hellas Verona, the Turin club has now ended up in the relegation zone: unprecedented.

However, Juventus had started the match very well, because after just four minutes Alvaro Morata had already taken care of the 1-0. The Spaniard did that after a brilliant counter, his long sprint was also allowed.

The home team had been dreaming of their first league win this season for a long time, but Ante Rebic shattered that dream with fifteen minutes to go. The Croat was able to put his head against a corner and made it 1-1. Juventus even got away well, because Rebic and Pierre Kalulu later failed to make it 1-2. Alexis Saelemaekers played 63 minutes for Milan.

In the standings, Juventus has actually ended up in the relegation zone after its own draw and the victories of Spezia and Hellas Verona. De Oude Dame has only two points from four games and shares eighteenth place with Cagliari. Only newly promoted Salernitana is doing worse at the moment, losing all of their first four games.
