On the fourth day of the Serie A, Genoa suffered a 1-2 home defeat against Fiorentina on Saturday. Zinho Vanheusden completed the 90 minutes with the home team in the heart of the defense.
The visitors immediately monopolized the ball from kick-off, but did not score a goal halfway through the first half. In the second half they did get paid to work with hits from Riccardo Saponara (60.) and Giacomo Bonaventura (88.). Domenico Criscito’s penalty goal (90.+8) came much too late. Fiorentina has a great start to the season with 9/12, while Genoa is in the lower regions with a disappointing 3/12.
Later on Saturday, national champions Inter and the Bologna of Arthur Theate look each other in the eye in Milan (6:00 pm) and PhD student Salernitana will look for his first points against Atalanta (8.45 pm) for his own people.
