The football stadiums and all other sports stadiums can be completely filled with frenzied fans from 25 September. Outgoing Prime Minister Mark Rutte and outgoing Minister Hugo de Jonge have just announced this at the press conference on Tuesday evening.
The current rules will continue to apply: supporters must either be vaccinated, tested or have recently recovered from the corona virus.
The first Eredivisie match with a completely filled stadium could be Willem II – PSV. Then the stadium must logically be completely sold out first. Ajax – FC Groningen and Feyenoord – NEC are also on the program that weekend.
European football
Looking at the Dutch clubs in Europe, only PSV will play at home before September 25. Against Real Sociedad, the Eindhoven players have to do it again with a stadium that is 2/3 full. Ajax, AZ, Vitesse and Feyenoord can play all 3 group matches in a fully filled stadium.
