Greet Minnen (WTA-122) will face Storm Sanders (WTA-141) in the quarterfinals of the WTA tournament in the Czech capital Prague ($235,238) on Friday. That 26-year-old Australian eliminated Spanish Nuria Parrizas Diaz (WTA-117) on Thursday with 4-6, 6-3 and 6-1.
Earlier in the day, Minnen joined the last eight with a 6-3, 7-6 (7/3) win against the Russian Anastasia Gasanova (WTA-171). She has never played against Sanders before.
Ysaline Bonaventure (WTA-127) failed to qualify for the quarterfinals. She lost in 1 hour and 37 minutes 7-6 (7/2) and 6-4 to the Czech Barbora Krejcikova (WTA-13), last month winner of Roland-Garros and second seed on the hard court in Prague.
