Greet Minnen (WTA 106) and Ysaline Bonaventure (WTA 128) will meet next week in the first round of the WTA tournament in the Czech capital Prague (hard/$250,000). It will be the first mutual duel between the two women.
Minnen made it to the main draw at Wimbledon at the end of last month. There she fell in the first round against Australian Ajla Tomljanovic (WTA 75), who eventually made it to the quarterfinals. Bonaventure went out in the qualifiers for Wimbledon, but then made it to the quarterfinals at the WTA tournament in Hamburg.
There are no further Belgian women taking part in Prague. The Czech Petra Kvitova (WTA 10) is the top seed in her own country.
