In addition to the final twelve, Laure Resimont and Serena-Lynn Geldof are the substitutes for the Belgian Cats with a view to the Olympic Games.
On Saturday, national coach Philip Mestdagh released his final selection of twelve players for the Tokyo Olympic Games (July 23 to August 8). Compared to the European Championship, captain Ann Wauters and Jana Raman (rehabilitation operation thumb) are making their comeback. The Belgian Cats are currently completing a final training course in Kortrijk base camp. There it was decided that Serena-Lynn Geldof and Laure Resimont are the two substitutes and will travel to Japan on Wednesday 7 July. Resimont and Geldof are allowed to complete the practice internship in Mito. If no one is injured, this duo will return to Belgium at the start of the Olympic Games. Elise Ramette and Becky Massey are definitely out of the selection.
