The Belgian Lions will go on a training camp to Japan (Okinawa) from June 30 to July 13. National coach Dario Gjergja selected sixteen players for this stage, where three practice matches will also be contested. On July 7, the Lions will play against Finland, on July 9 against Japan and on July 11 against Hungary.

“It is a first for the Belgian Lions and a great honor to be invited by Japan, the country that is organizing the Olympic Games this summer. It is a recognition of our results and our first place in the European Championship qualifying round. It is also an opportunity to prepare in good conditions for the World Cup qualifiers, which will start in November,” said high performance manager Jacques Stas. Young talent Nathan Missio-Dia (16 years old, Limoges/France) is new in the selection.
