At the European Football Championship in Germany, the Red Devils will face Ukraine in their third and final group match. They won the decisive jump-off match against Iceland 2-1 on Tuesday evening in Wroclaw, Poland.

Iceland took the lead after half an hour through Albert Gudmundsson, who scored with a nice kick. Roman Yaremchuk (ex-Ghent and Bruges) then saw his equalizer disallowed by the VAR for offside. In the 54th minute, Ukraine tied the score through Viktor Tsygankov. Mykhailo Mudryk, for whom Chelsea paid 70 million to Shakhtar at the beginning of last year, kicked his country to the European Championship in the 84th minute.

Belgium opens the European Championship against Slovakia on June 17 in Frankfurt. Domenico Tedesco's team will then play against Romania in Cologne on June 22. They close Group E with a match on June 26 in Stuttgart against Ukraine.

Ukraine had eliminated Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-2 in the first jump-off match in path B last week. Iceland was too strong for Israel with 1-4.

The team of national coach and former international Sergei Rebrov is attending a European Championship for the fourth time in a row. Three years ago, Ukraine reached the quarter-finals, where it was eliminated by England.

The Red Devils have never played against Ukraine before.

Poland conquers last European Championship ticket

Poland was the last country to qualify for the European Championship in Germany on Tuesday evening. In Cardiff, Wales, Wales won on penalties.

Because no goals had been scored after 90 minutes and extra time, penalties had to be decided. The score was tied at 4-5. Then Daniel James missed for Wales and Robert Lewandowski and co were allowed to celebrate.

As the winner of path A, Poland will end up in group D at the European Championships this summer with the Netherlands, Austria and France.

It is Poland's fifth consecutive participation in a European championship. A quarter-final in France in 2016 is the best result so far.
