Striker Karim Benzema seems to be going to make it to France’s opening match at the European Championship against Germany. The 33-year-old Real Madrid striker returned to the French squad but suffered a minor knee injury in the final test before the tournament against Bulgaria. The French federation put an end to all fears on Wednesday.
“His playing against Germany is not in doubt,” Les Bleus reported after a closed training. Benzema looked taken aback. National coach Didier Deschamps removed the first doubts about his participation and the doctors took over those words.
