Things are not going well for Vincent Kompany with Burnley. Yesterday he suffered another defeat with his team in the Premier League. And that doesn’t make our compatriot happy.

In yesterday’s 3-0 defeat against Crystal Palace, Burnley kept pace with the home team for a long time. Only after three quarters of the game did they fall behind. Then the Clarets had been playing with one man less for half an hour after a red card for Josh Brownhill.

“Our job is hard enough as it is. We can’t just play with ten men in a match of this magnitude,” Vincent Kompany was strict. “But it happened anyway. After that it became a difficult match. The team still fought. But in this competition, playing with ten men is very difficult for us.”

“It is difficult for me to make a real assessment of our match,” Kompany continued. “The problem is that we fell with ten men. It’s not like we completely collapsed in the first half. If we were a little better with the ball at times, we could also be dangerous. But now we have to get ourselves together again.”

Burnley is now eight points from a safe place in the rankings. It has now been two months since the Clarets were able to win again in the Premier League. Next week, Kompany’s troops will take on Bournemouth at home.
