Beerschot has a new (flank) attacker. Tom Reyners could be admired at the Freethiel for the past three seasons, where his contract expired this summer. The 23-year-old Belgian signed a contract at Kiel on Friday morning until mid-2025.

Tom Reyners is a youth product of Racing Genk, but eventually signed a professional contract with Beveren in July 2020. Over the past two seasons, the young winger has made 35 appearances in the Challenger Pro League. But certainly last year he mainly had to make do with raids and every now and then he didn’t make the selection.

Now Reyners is coming to try his luck with series mate Beerschot. On the website of the Mannekes, technical director Cspregi already says that the new addition is very motivated to put on a mauve-white jersey soon. “And let that be something that we felt a lot less with certain players in recent weeks,” says Gyorgy Csepregi. “I am therefore very happy that we can now add another player with a strong profile to our squad who really wants to give 100 percent for our club.”

Reyners is therefore looking for playing minutes at the Kiel, where he has to make the departed Ilias Sebaoui and Thibo Baeten forget, among others. According to Csepregi, the flank attacker is a real added value for the first team. “I think Tom is a real reinforcement for our attacking compartment. He is fast, technically strong and brings a lot of creativity,” concludes Beerschot’s technical manager.

Negotiations with German central defender Jan Boller

Beerschot is also negotiating with the transfer-free German Jan Boller, who played for the Austrian LASK last season. Boller already worked together with the current T1 of Beerschot Andreas Wieland at both LASK and FC Juniors OÖ. Even better: it is the player who has already played the most matches under Wieland.

The 22-year-old central defender only kicked off once in the Austrian Bundesliga last season, due to a torn cruciate ligament in the left knee. So it remains to be seen whether Beerschot will actually give the young German a contract.
