The Belgian volleyball women (CEV 12) meet title holder Serbia (CEV 1), Azerbaijan (CEV 5), Russia (CEV 6), France (CEV 20) and Bosnia (CEV 30) in the group stage of the European Volleyball Championship. That was the result of Thursday night’s draw in the Serbian capital Belgrade. The Tigers will also play their matches in Belgrade.
The 32nd edition of the European Championship will take place in four different countries, each playing host to a pool of six countries: Serbia (group A in Belgrade), Bulgaria (group B in Plovdiv), Croatia (group C in Zadar) and Romania ( group D in Cluj-Napoca).
The competitions take place from August 18 to September 4. After the group stage, the remaining matches will continue in Belgrade and Plovdiv.
The first four countries of each pool qualify for the eighth finals. Serbia is double title holder (2017 and 2019). The last edition of the European Championship, in Turkey in 2019, was the first to host 24 countries.
