Last weekend, the mourned Kobe Bryant was officially inducted into the NBA’s Hall of Fame. His wife Vanessa and basketball icon Michael Jordan did the honors with an impressive and emotional speech.
Jordan previously spoke in tears at Bryant’s emotional tribute in February 2020, just weeks after his death on January 26, 2020. Bryant died in Calabasas, California, in a helicopter crash that also killed eight others, including his 13-year-old daughter Gianna.
Now ‘MJ’ assisted Vanessa Bryant during her speech. “Congratulations, honey,” said the American. “All your hard work and sacrifices have paid off. You once told me that if you put your money on someone, it would be on yourself. I’m glad you did. You have accomplished more than anyone thought. You did it. You are in the Hall of Fame, you are a true champion. ”

In addition to Bryant, two other greats from NBA history were inducted into the Hall of Fame in Uncasville: Tim Duncan, five-time champion with San Antonio, and Kevin Garnett, who took the title with Boston. They were inaugurated by David Robinson and Isiah Thomas respectively.
Two other stars were also honored: WNBA player Tamika Catchings and former Houston Rockets coach Rudy Tomjanovich, two-time NBA champion (1994 and 1995). The latter was introduced by Hakeem Olajuwon, his then Houston star.
