Stade Reims retired in the sixteenth finals of the Coupe de France on Sunday evening. Third division Sochaux won 5-4 in the penalty series, after the score was 2-2 after 90 minutes.

Emmanuel Agbadou (6.), ex-Eupen, quickly opened the scoring for the visitors, but the home team did not give up and hit back twice through Diego Michel (21.) and Alex Daho (45.). Agbadou (82.) won penalties in the final phase with his second goal.

Teddy Teuma, the former captain of Union Sint-Gillis, and Joseph Okumu, ex-AA Gent, failed in the first and sixth attempts of Reims, making the elimination a fact.

Strasbourg did qualify for the eighth finals. Clermont and Maximiliano Caufriez were defeated 1-3. First goalkeeper Matz Sels was not part of the selection at Strasbourg.
