The final of the women’s play-offs will be between Castors Braine and Namur Capitale. The final, a best of three, starts on Friday in Namur. Castors has the home advantage and finishes a possible third and deciding party in-house.
Castors Braine also won the second match in the semi-final on Saturday evening, beating Liège Panthers 82-56. Sint-Katelijne-Waver, which had lost the first game 75-66, was also defeated in the second match of the semi-finals of the play-offs and against Namur Capitale and was eliminated after a sweep (2-0).
Melissa Diakwakana (22 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists) led with Courtney Range (17 points, 6 rebounds) Namur Capitale after a 13-13 score and a 34-39 bonus halfway to 49-57 and victory. Billie Massey (15 points, 16 rebounds) managed a double-double at SKW.
The final of the play-offs starts on Friday in Namur Capitale. The second match will be on Sunday in Castors Braine and the third and possibly decisive match will again be on Tuesday April 27 in Walloon Brabant. Castors Braine is a favorite and is looking for an eighth consecutive title. Namur last became champion in 2013.
