Sander Gillé and Joran Vliegen have not been able to live up to their status of first seed at the ATP tournament in Marbella (408,800 euros). The Limburg duo lost on Monday in the first round of the clay tournament in Andalusia 4-6, 7-6 (7/5) and 10-8 against the Spaniards David Marrero and Adrian Menendez-Maceiras.
Since they won the Singapore ATP tournament at the end of February, Gillé and Vliegen could no longer win a match. They also went out in the first round in Rotterdam and Miami.
