Gerwyn Price is unfortunately not present for dart fans during the Premier League of Darts that starts tonight (Monday). The world champion tested positive for the corona virus and is therefore not allowed to participate in the PDC. But is that right? Price did 3 self-tests at home and tested negative 3 times. Price shared that in a video on Instagram, which was removed soon after.
“All players and officials involved in the Premier League were tested for the coronavirus on arrival on Sunday,” the PDC said in a statement. “World Champion Price tested positive and will return home to be quarantined.”
Self test
Once arrived at his house to be quarantined, Price decided to do not 1, not 2, but 3 self-tests. Every time the same result came out: NEGATIVE! Did the PDC make a decision too soon to send Price home and have James Wade replaced?
If Price just really did three negative self tests, he should get the opportunity for an official re-test.
Of course you can not pull back James Wade from the Premier League anymore. So if Price does a negative re-test, should be an option to play the PL with 11 players?

“I have no symptoms, nothing at all. I feel completely fit. I will come back stronger from this and wish all the Premier League participants every success,” said a disappointed Price.
