Italian Jannik Sinner (ATP 31) was the first to qualify for the final of the ATP Masters 1,000 tournament in Miami (hard / $ 3,343,785).
Sinner defeated Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut (ATP 12) in the semifinals in three sets: 5-7, 6-4 and 6-4. The game lasted 2 hours and 31 minutes. Bautista Agut previously eliminated first seed Daniil Medvedev (ATP 2) in the quarter-finals, but is therefore next to a final place.
The 19-year-old Sinner has two titles to his palmares. In 2020 he triumphed in Sofia and earlier this year he was the best in the Great Ocean Road Open in Melbourne, a preparation tournament for the Australian Open. The young Italian will face the winner of the game between the Russian Andrey Rublev (ATP 8) and the Pole Hubert Hurkacz (ATP 37) in the final.
