On Sunday, Ghent has booked a 3-2 win against Aalst on the fourth match day of the Challenge Final 4 (places 5 to 8) in the EuroMillions Volley League.
The home team led 2-0, after which the visitors fought back into the match: 2-2. Ghent narrowly won the tie in the tiebreak. The set positions were 28-26, 25-20, 22-25, 17-25 and 16-14.
On Saturday, Achel won 3-0 (25-19, 25-16 and 25-20) against Waremme in the other match of the weekend in the Challenge Final 4.
Achel leads with 9 points in the standings. Then follow Aalst (7 pts), Gent (6) and Borgworm (2). There are two more match days on the program. The winner of the Challenge Final 4 will receive the last European ticket.
