Ronaldo reaches magical limit: Portuguese scores at least twenty league goals twelve consecutive seasons

Ronaldo bereikt magische grens: Portugees scoort twaalf seizoenen op rij minstens twintig competitiegoals

Cristiano Ronaldo has (yet again) reached a magical limit. He scored 3-0 for Juventus against La Spezia in his 600th league match of his career on Tuesday. The Portuguese forward is the first player to make at least 20 league goals in twelve consecutive seasons.

The last time Cristiano Ronaldo finished a season with less than twenty league goals was in 2008-2009. Then he made “only” 18 for Manchester United. At Real Madrid and Juventus, “CR7” was always good for at least 20 league goals.

This year he will already reach the border on March 2. Especially since New Year, the Juventus attacker has excelled. With seven goals and two assists, he contributes to more than half of his club’s goal production. Juventus scored seventeen goals this year and only swallowed two.

Ronaldo scored the last goal in the 3-0 win against La Spezia on Tuesday. Alvaro Morata opened the score after the hour at the request of Federico Bernardeschi, Federico Chiesa and Ronaldo deepened the score. Romelu Lukaku is temporary vice-top scorer in Italy with 18 goals. His club Inter will play against Parma on Thursday.
